Yankee Barn Homes Celebrates 50 Years

Photography by Erin Girouard Photography

It’s not everyday you pass a milestone like 50 years, but for Yankee Barn Homes, 2019 marks the big five-o. Founded on February 14, 1969,  this pioneer in the classic American post and beam housing industry has grown from humble beginnings to having built more than 3,000 custom homes all over the world. Click here to tour some of Yankee Barn Homes' projects that have run in Timber Home Living.

The company marked the big anniversary with a celebration in their hometown featuring a parade of area homes they’ve built, a house warming at the newest model home, The Springfield Barn, and of course, refreshments and insights from Yankee Barn Homes’ owner and CEO, Paul Marinelli, and Jeffrey Rosen, co-owner and creative director. The company’s engineering manager, Jon Sevigny, also provided a 50-year perspective so attendees could see the evolution of the company and the technical design process. Attendees were able to tour four inspiring houses by Yankee Barn Homes, all from different periods, spanning 1984 to 2019. Scroll through the gallery above for a sneak peek at the different styles.
