5 Floor Plans that Flow | Glenville Timberwrights | Seamlessly Designed Timber HomesGlenville Timberwrights Five Floor Plans That "Flow" Timber Home Living | May/June 2008 Designer:Glenville Timberwrights Square Footage: 4,200 This plan is the perfect example of a home that’s open feeling yet still has some formality. A fireplace and a couple of stairs delineate the great room from the grand foyer, while a wall separates the kitchen and dining area from great room—but an oversized doorway still gives the space a feeling of openness. There’s good symmetry upstairs—the study can be accessed from either the loft or the master bedroom, and grouping the guest quarters on the other side gives them their own space. Powder rooms are nicely located. Both are sited close to the “action” of public areas (one near the kitchen and one near the great room), but they’re still tucked away out of sight.
